Mr. Nyeste has an article in the October 2011 issue of The Policy, the newsletter of the Insurance Law Section of the Illinois State Bar Association. The article challenges the widely held misconception that an insurance company's captive agent owes duties only to the insurance company.

In May 2011, Mr. Nyeste completed a 91-page index to the past twelve years of issues of
The Policy, with short descriptions of over 500 Illinois insurance law cases that are described in greater detail in the newsletters. The Index and past issues of
The Policy are on-line on the ISBA website for members of the Insurance Law Section.
Presentation for Chicago Bar Association
On December 14, 2010, Mr. Nyeste presented a case study to the Insurance Coverage Committee of the Young Lawyers Section of the Chicago Bar Association concerning limit of liability language and other issues.
New article: "A separate coverage limit for the loss of consortium claim?"
Mr. Nyeste has an article in the October 2010 issue of The Policy, the newsletter of the Insurance Law Section of the Illinois State Bar Association. The article addresses the circumstances under which a separate limit of liability may be owed for a spouse's loss of consortium claim.
Presentation for Lake County Bar Association
On May 27, 2010, Mr. Nyeste gave a presentation on insurance company "bad faith" at a seminar held by the Lake County Bar Association.
Appointed Chairman of ISBA Insurance Section for 2010-11
Mr. Nyeste has been appointed Council Chairman for the Insurance Section of the Illinois State Bar Association for the year beginning June 1, 2010. The Council is responsible for, among other things, holding continuing legal education seminars on insurance law issues, publishing the Section's newsletter, The Policy, and reviewing proposed insurance related legislation.
New Article: Selected Insurance Provisions in the 2010 Health Care Reform Legislation
Mr. Nyeste has an article in the May 2010 issue of The Policy, the newsletter of the Insurance Law Section of the Illinois State Bar Association. The article addresses the insurance aspects of the health care reform legislation passed by Congress and signed by President Obama in March 2010.
